Sand Storm

I think someone disturbed an ancient pyramid somewhere.

Incredibly ominous to see that coming, to see how dark it got, and to know it lasted for four hours.

  1. When I was in Iraq, we got a sandstorm that lasted for a week. That is no lie. They said that they could see it from space, a giant tan cloud over the entire country.

The sky was orange and everything was covered in a fine, choking mist. Most surreal experience of my life.

  3. I've been in a sandstorm in Luxor in Egypt that started off by completely obscuring the west bank of the Nile in a grey and tan haze to the point where none of the far bank could be seen. When it started blowing down the streets on the east bank I retired to my hotel with a book only to find that it was starting to filter in through the aircon units!

    Evil stuff.
